The staff are amazing and make fantastic hot chocolate. The interior is super nice, and it's a great place to study. I have not tried the pastries yet, but they all look super delicious. They also make custom cakes and cookies I believe. I always try and grab a hot chocolate from morning glory whenever I am in grosse point because they are awesome.

When I visited the Morning Glory bakery, the service was excellent! The employees that were there when I visited were delighted to help me create my cake. Before purchasing my cake, I purchased a few cupcakes and tasted everything. The vanilla cupcakes with butter cream icing are delicious. It is one of the best bakeries I have ever been too!

They designed and made the best cake ever for my cousins's birthday party. If you want a great cake this is the place!

Excellent coffee. Amazing sweets and foods. Outstanding service. Welcoming and interesting atmosphere. This place deserves it's perfect score.I recommend their french macaroons and savory croissants. Our family has had no less than 5 of their cakes for birthdays and anniversaries. You can special order one, but the ones behind the counter are excellent as well.There's a fireplace that sits between their indoor seating and patio seating and can be enjoyed by both areas.Extra credit for their nugget ice machine/water dispenser.

Adorable cafe and bakery! I've always had good to great service here... not sure what happened to the other reviewers. Staff is young, maybe a bit inexperienced, but it's always been nice people and quick service when I visit (Saturday mornings). LOVE their croissant sandwiches, along with a coffee and maybe a sweet treat (popovers, beignets!). IMO it's a good value, too - esp given the location. Patio is the cutest spot to enjoy your coffee & newspaper. Great people watching too!

Really enjoyed our visit here. The customer service was great! There are lots of seating options. Everything our group had was enjoyed. The cheddar bacon biscuit was to die for. And I have heard the turkey vegetable soup was delicious too. This place sells gelato which is pretty cool (not sure how good it is). There is also a cute fireplace for customers to enjoy and sit next too. I would absolutely return and bring my friends!

On the rare occasion that I actually get to visit Morning Glory, I am always pleasantly surprised. It's beautiful and extremely cozy inside. The bakery treats are delicious (love the frosting!) and the presentation is stunningly gorgeous. Helpful staff, too. Love this place, wish there was one in my area.

Not great sweets. I was surprised. Espresso is fairly good. Don't go for the cannole or mousse, or sugar cookies. Everything tastes old and low quality ingredients. Unimpressed. Friendly staff, cute location, bad sweets, good espresso.

Lovely spot in the heart of "The Hill," great for a quick coffee or a more leisurely morning. The bakery's forté is cake -- delicious, moist, creamy cakes, which can be custom made in fun, zany combinations of colors and designs. I recently ordered a carrot cake with blue frosting, green writing and confetti sparkles -- truly the hit of the party. It was the most delicious carrot cake I've had in ages! Highly recommend for any party or special occasion.

-Don’t get made to order cakes here. They look beautiful, they will be stale and lacking flavor. Boxed cake would have been better. Very disappointed with our $40 6” inch. Threw it out after celebrating my daughters birthday.

The nitro cold brew is some of the best I've had. It's smooth but flavorful. Not as harsh as some others.

It's small, but nice. The soups were good. I got a chicken salad sandwich on a huge croissant and it was pretty good too. But I couldn't just get the chicken salad because some of the items like sandwiches and salads are pre-made and packaged. A little more cafeteria style than cafe. Also the area near the front door was a little cold even though we were sitting right next to the fireplace. Still I really like it.

Very Cozy and Delicious! Stopped in after a doctor visit and tried they're "Pumpkin Spice Latte".. what else can I say but wowwy!! So good perfect temperature, not over priced actually and a extremely welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely be back! Thank You!

Love the place in every detail in addition to the delightful selection of sweets offered and their warm welcome to customers. I even enjoyed reading a beautiful book from the 3 bookcases they have.

Savory croissants are delicious, and I love the lattes. Of course, the pastries are great too (I recommend the fruit tarts).

Great coffee

The staff today really turned me off to this place. They wore the SAME pair of gloves the ENTIRE time between switching from taking money to grabbing food. They never once got new gloves. Super nasty especially right now when they should be being extra vigilant. I mean it shouldn't happen ever. At all. She took the man in front of me money. Cash money. With her gloves ON. she then reached into the case and grabbed my eclair with the same gloves and no sort of tissue paper or anything. Then proceeded to grab my money with those same gloved hands and again with the person behind me. GROSS!!! TELL YOUR EMPLOYEES THAT THE USE OF GLOVES IS TO PROTECT THE CUSTOMER, NOT THEIR HANDS. also the past couple times the cupcakes have been really dry.

Really like this cosy joint, great coffee nice food and dessert options, they have a little cute patio for the warmer months. I gave it 4 stars since some of their baked goods lacks in flavor. That can do better .

Morning glory is the best bakery in the area! Friendly staff, always smiling faces. They made my birthday cake for my 25th birthday. Not only was it exactly what I wanted, but it was DELICIOUS!

A really great bakery. Felt like we were on vacation. Well done on every aspect of it. Even had gluten free options and priced very affordably.

I find the atmosphere to be more stark than cozy. The coffee is good and the staff are friendly. I don't find it comfortable for longer visits with friends.

I received so many compliments on our wedding cake! It tasted great! It was simple yet elegant. In the south (Where the Groom is from) they traditionally have what's called a groom's cake which holds a humerous element but since we already had our cake and a cake for my niece (also delicious and beautiful) I thought three cakes would be a little much. So we added the humor element to our cake with a Fondant Soccer ball crashing into the side of the cake. They did an awesome job! When we did the tasting it was beautiful and fun!

Love this place early mornings for coffee and beignets

My birthday cake order lacked presentation & quality even though I provided details of what I wanted. I will not buy from here again.

My husband and I used Morning Glory cakes for our wedding about two weeks ago and guests are still raving about dessert! Mary was very accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process and the bakery presented a beautiful wedding cake the day of. Thank you to Mary and Morning Glory for making this part of the wedding stress-free!

Morning glory coffee has great pastries which in many cases can be very artistic with amazing designs. The building is very well done and makes for a great place to sit and relax. Enjoy the fireplace or the year round patio. Coffee is good and service is friendly. Even have wine and a few liquors if in the mood for a coctail.

We had Morning Glory make our wedding cake. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. The cake tasting was so fun and we were treated with such professionalism. On the wedding date the cake was exactly as I pictured and it tasted great. We had a lot of compliments about how good it was.
